Situation & challenge
We intend to develop a pilot educational video game that helps disabled groups become socially included. The aim is to achieve the highest possible degree of personal autonomy, an improvement in their social skills as well as an increase in their knowledge and self esteem.
Solution
Virtualware has developed an educational video game for tablet devices that help people with Down syndrome to solve a situation of payment and return of money. In is a specific virtual scenario, the user is faced with a real shopping situation through a small game that stimulates him or her to finish the task correctly.
Results
The game actively enables people to internalize knowledge through exposing information with digital learning. Users learn through games and exercises that are presented to them actively. They solve them through logic and experimentation.
