The company Salto is a global leader in manufacturing innovative security control products with installations in over 1,500,000 doors, on more than 11,000 projects in over 90 countries. Over 4,000 multisector customers, including Universities such Oxford and Cambridge in the United Kingdom, corporate buildings like T-mobile HQ in Austria, RTL Television in the Netherlands and the French Parliament in Paris, have all chosen SALTO for their security needs.
As part of their marketing plan, Salto Systems regularly exhibits at the annual IFSEC International exhibition, the largest event for the security industry, which is taking place on the 17th-19th of June at the ExCeL in London, UK. The IFSEC is the place where companies introduce their newest security products to a global audience.
Virtualware developed an Augmented Reality mobile app especially for Salto which provides additional digital information on their new range of electronic locks. The app is a very intuitive way of letting potential clients visualize the innovative new product XS4 MINI, showing what it looks like installed in a door, the different colour and handle combinations, all at real scale. The user only has to print out a marker that consists of an image of the XS4 MINI and place it on the door. After activating the application and pointing the tablet at the marker, the user then sees a 3D model at scale of the door handle, which they can manipulate to move it to the right position on the door.
The app will be first launched at IFSEC and afterwards will be available to download for both Android and iOS from their corresponding app stores.
