MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION AND TRANSPORT OF MEXICO (SCT)
The National Digital Strategy of Mexico introduces new information and communications technologies as part of the country’s development, with the aim of contributing to achieving the goals established in the National Development Plan 2013-2018.
The Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) clearly views Virtual Education as a suitable means of achieving the goals and objectives established in the National Digital Strategy of the Government.
The SCT looked to innovate their training methodologies, by introducing Information and Communications Technologies and by facilitating the accessibility to digital educational content for its workforce from any mobile device (Tablet and Smartphone). Virtualware developed an online resource management platform for the SCT which allows the registration, tracking and certification of the online training for all of its workers.
The first training content being introduced to the workers is an SCT Initiation Course developed in Html5, with an adaptive web design which allows cross platform interface visualization, including for PCs, Tablets and Smartphones. This course is a key and strategic learning tool that explains the structure and organisation of the SCT and whose use has been made compulsory for all of its workers.
Currently, more than 3500 workers of the SCT have already taken and completed this course and have accessed the new virtual educational environment of the SCT.
