Virtualware work is recognized at Archeovirtual in Italy

The Virtual Cave of Santimamiñe receives an international award

The Tenth Mediterranean Borsa of Archaeological Tourism www.borsaturismo.com will be held from November 19 to 22 near the ancient city of Paestum to the south of Naples in Italy.

This encounter will host different archaeology-related initiatives, among which ArcheoVirtual (organized by Instituto de Tecnología Aplicada al Bien Cultural (Institute of Technology Applied to Cultural Heritage) – ITABC (its initials in Spanish), plays a very prominent role. It constitutes one of the most important interactive and virtual technology applied to archaeology in Europe. This year, it is being held for the fourth time.

This meeting brings together the most distinguished cultural heritage researchers and research groups that develop virtual archaeology. For this year’s meeting, only 11 projects from different countries such as Greece, Italy, Egypt and Ireland have been selected. They will be exhibiting at Espacio Multivisione. On this occasion, Virtualware was the only Spanish company that has been selected for its work done in Cueva de Santimamiñe (Santimamiñe Cave), a project that has elicited many expectations due to its realism.
