Advanced console for the playful rehabilitation of children with neuromotor disabilities

OBJETIVES


The main objective of the project is the development of a device based on a new video game system that uses alternative channels of interaction, based on body movement, eyes and arms primarily.

The project aims at developping new activities for early intervention in children with neuromotor disabilities and training their full physical and cognitive abilities.

The system will consist of human-computer interfaces and videogames adapted to the user's specific condition.

This innovative technological approach offers children exciting tasks to follow-up rehabilitation exercises, trying to become a commonly used tool.

The system functionalities are:

1) children with neuromotor disabilities rehabilitation,

2) assessment of the health evolution and

3) improving quality of life through leisure activities.
